Turkish Military C-130 Transport Aircraft Crashes Near Azerbaijan-Georgia Border | WION

On November 11, 2025, a Turkish Air Force Lockheed C-130EM Hercules military transport aircraft crashed near the border of Azerbaijan and Georgia, shortly after taking off from Ganja International Airport in Azerbaijan. The plane, carrying 20 military personnel including crew, was en route to Turkey when it broke apart mid-air over Georgian territory and spiraled down before crashing into a mountainous area near Sighnaghi municipality. All 20 people on board were confirmed dead, and rescue teams from Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are coordinating the investigation and recovery efforts.
