TTT Live Online THA Unveils New Executive Line-Up And Reorganised Divisions

Ten Assembly Members and two Councillors were sworn in on Monday as Secretaries of the Tobago House of Assembly, while four Assistant Secretaries were sworn in.
President Christine Kangaloo administered the Oath of Office to the newly appointed Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries.
New Divisions have been formed, while others have been separated and renamed for the Tobago House of Assembly’s 2026–2030 term.
Chief Secretary Farley Augustine said the swearing-in and assignment of Secretaries to Divisions are more than just a ceremonial exercise.
“It is a strategic act of stewardship. It is about placing the right people in the right spaces at the right time to deliver real results to real people on time. Each Division represents a pillar of Tobago’s development, a pillar in our strategic development pathway.”
Mr. Augustine announced that the Office of the Chief Secretary will now include both a Secretary and an Assistant Secretary, with Megan Morrison and Nigel Taitt appointed to those roles. Deputy Chief Secretary Dr. Faith Brebnor will return as Secretary of Health and Wellness.
In addition to the Division of Legal Affairs, a new Division has been established to be led by Secretary Trevor James.
Mr. Augustine said: “The Division of Strategic Planning and Development is responsible for guiding Tobago’s long-term growth and transformation through evidence-based policy, coordinating development planning and performance monitoring.”
Another new Division is the Division of Environment, Climate Resilience and Energy, which will be managed by Secretary Darren Henry.
Several Divisions have also been separated and renamed. Keigon Denoon has been appointed Secretary of Youth Empowerment and Sport.
Emphasising the importance of community-focused development, Mr. Augustine announced the creation of the Division of Community Development and Social Protection.
“Let me hasten to add that the Deputy Chief Secretary will provide some supervision for this Division in ensuring that the rollout is effortless, and the Secretary for the Division of Community Development and Social Protection will be Assemblyman Ian Pollard and the Assistant Secretary will be Mr. Ackel Franklyn.”
Wane Clarke has been appointed Secretary of Food Security, while Nathisha Charles-Pantin will lead the Division of Public Infrastructure and Transport.
Assembly Member Zorisha Hackett is now Secretary of Tourism, Antiquities and Creative Industries, and Ricky Joefield is Secretary of Housing, Settlements and Public Utilities.
Assembly Member Orlando Kerr has been appointed Secretary of Education, Skills and Innovation. Councillor Petal Ann Roberts will continue to manage the Division of Finance, now supported by Assistant Secretary Kern Alexis.
