TTT Live Online Minister Michelle Benjamin Extends Condolences On The Passing Of Danielle Dieffenthaller

The Minister of Culture and Community Development, Michelle Benjamin, is extending condolences on the passing of producer, director and writer, Danielle Dieffenthaller.

Ms. Dieffenthaller was a pioneering force in local and regional television for more than two decades. As head of Diefferent Style Films, she created beloved programmes like Iere Vibe and The Reef. She also helped bring Ecowatch and the landmark drama Westwood Park to life — a series that ran 100 episodes and helped define Caribbean television.

Her career spanned TTT, Bandung Productions in the UK, and Banyan, where she was part of the only local crew to capture the 1990 attempted coup.

The Ministry describes her passing as a major loss to the cultural landscape of Trinidad and Tobago.
