TTT Live Online Government Vows To Dismantle Kidnapping Networks

Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander has assured that the government will continue to dismantle kidnapping networks in the country.

“The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Coast Guard, Defence Force, Immigration and other persons, we are working closely together to ensure that what took place a couple of days ago must never happen again.”

Responding to a question in the Lower House on Friday, Minister Alexander blamed a flawed system under the previous administration for the issue.

“Because of a reckless border, a reckless government, a reckless former government, a reckless registration process. We have met with persons, gangs and other persons involved. That is why we have this problem today.”
