T&T Medal Tally Climbs At CARIFTA Games
Trinidad and Tobago is currently locked in action on the second evening at the 53rd Carifta Games in St George’s Grenada as the medals increase. We have some results for you from this morning session.

Rain caused some interruptions in the morning session of the second day of action at the 53rd Carifta Games. But the athletes weren’t too CARIFTA DAY2deterred by the weather as they performed well at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Grenada’s capital of St George’s.

Seannah Parsons captured T&T’s second gold medal in the girls’ under-20 triple jump and is scheduled to compete this evening in the long jump.

Peyton Winter made it 12 medals this morning in the 1st Final of the day, that’s the Girls Shot Put. Winter’s attempt of 14.4metres was only bettered by Able Mills of Jamaica with her 15.27m throw. Peyton continues to medal at Carifta.

There were several mixed events this morning such as the Girls High jump in the Heptathlon.
Defending champion Tenique Vincent was in 4th place at the time with teammate Kaori Robley leading the way with more events scheduled for this evening

Tyrique Vincent leads Under 20 decathlon with Kaleb Campbell 2nd on the table with more competition scheduled

Jafari Edwards and Niyelle Alleyne stood 4th and 5th overall in the U17 Octathlon morning session.
