Ahead of his address at the Knessert, U.S. President Donald Trump had a message as the final phase of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire and hostage deal came into effect. Seven of twenty living Israeli hostages were handed over to the Red Cross, with the rest to follow along with the bodies of 28 deceased. Simultaneously, Israel freed nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. Trump’s landmark visit included meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu and hostage families before a planned summit in Egypt to formalize the peace agreement.
