Trump’s Iran ultimatum: Empty threats or escalation?
US President Donald Trump threatened on Monday to hit Iran’s bridges and power plants by midnight on Tuesday, the same deadline he set for Iran to make a deal and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The US leader warned “every bridge and power plant in Iran will be out of business – burning, exploding, and never to be used again.” Iran, on the other hand, reportedly has conveyed a 10-point document, where it rejected a ceasefire and called for a permanent end to the conflict. So, what could be next in the Middle East conflict?
