Trump Says He Will Meet Putin In Hungary For Ukraine Talks After ‘very Productive’ Phone Call　 #ETNOW

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a two-hour phone call — their first major conversation since meeting in Anchorage, Alaska two months ago.

Both leaders agreed to meet again soon, likely in Budapest, Hungary, with the summit expected within two weeks. Trump said senior advisers from both sides will meet next week to prepare.

The goal of this next meeting, according to Trump, is to “bring the inglorious war between Russia and Ukraine to an end.” Hungary’s Prime Minister confirmed that preparations for the summit are already underway.

The call happened just before Trump’s scheduled White House meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where Trump plans to discuss his talks with Putin.

Meanwhile, Putin’s envoy described the conversation as positive and productive.
