Trump says he is ‘not a big fan of Pope Leo’ following pontiff’s criticism of his administration
US President Donald Trump said he was “not a big fan of Pope Leo” on Sunday (Apr 12), criticising the pontiff over his positions on crime and nuclear weapons.

Trump’s remarks came after Pope Leo earlier this month described his threat to destroy Iranian civilisation as “unacceptable” and urged “deep reflection” on the treatment of migrants under the Trump administration.
