Trump Left Stunned? Xi Aide Defends Russian Oil Purchases; ‘Even The US & EU Are Trading With…’
The war of words between China, the U.S., and the EU has escalated after Donald Trump lashed out at Beijing and New Delhi over their purchase of Russian oil. A senior aide of Chinese President Xi Jinping hit back at Trump, pointing out that even the U.S. and Europe continue trading with Russia, defending China’s ties with Moscow as “legitimate” under WTO rules.
Meanwhile, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen snubbed Trump’s call for tariffs on India and China, insisting that Europe’s sanctions are already “ambitious and substantial” enough to pressure Moscow.
