Trump acknowledges the shutdown is hurting his party
Day 36 of the government shutdown comes after a Democratic sweep in key elections. Now, President Trump is once again calling for Republican senators to abolish the filibuster, the rule that requires 60 votes to advance most legislation, including a bill to reopen the government.
