दिवाली के जश्न के बीच दिल्ली और मुंबई समेत कई शहरों की हवा ज़हरीली हो गई है। दिल्ली का AQI 500 के खतरनाक स्तर पर पहुँच गया है। मुंबई और चेन्नई के आसमान में भी धुंध छाई हुई है। केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड ने लोगों को N-95 मास्क पहनने की सलाह दी है।

Amid Diwali celebrations,the air in many cities, including Delhi and Mumbai, has become toxic. Delhi’s AQI has reached a dangerous level of 500. Haze has also shrouded the skies of Mumbai and Chennai. The Central Pollution Control Board has advised people to wear N-95 masks.

दिवाली पर दिल्ली में आग लगने की 170 से ज़्यादा घटनाएँ सामने आईं। बहराइच में पटाखों की बोरी फटने से एक युवक की मौत हो गई। विदिशा में एक युवक की जेब में रखे विस्फोटक में विस्फोट हो गया, जिससे तीन लोग घायल हो गए। ठाणे के घोबीघाट में भी भीषण आग लग गई।

More than 170 fires were reported in Delhi on Diwali. A young man died in Bahraich after a firecracker sack exploded. In Vidisha, an explosive device in a young man’s pocket exploded, injuring three people. A massive fire also broke out in Ghobighat, Thane.

दिवाली के दिन बिहार गोलियों से गूंज उठा। पटना में बेखौफ अपराधियों ने एक युवक की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी, तो गया में अपराधियों ने सरेआम एक युवक को गोलियों से छलनी कर दिया। दोनों ही मामलों में पुलिस को शक है कि हत्याएँ पुरानी रंजिश के चलते हुई हैं। हमलावरों की तलाश में छापेमारी जारी है।

Bihar resounded with gunfire on Diwali. In Patna, fearless criminals shot and killed a young man, and in Gaya, criminals publicly riddled a young man with bullets. In both cases, the police suspect the murders stemmed from old rivalries. Raids are underway to search for the attackers.

बिहार चुनाव के दूसरे चरण के नामांकन के आखिरी दिन दो उम्मीदवारों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। सासाराम से राजद उम्मीदवार सत्येंद्र शाह को 20 साल पुराने डकैती के एक मामले में गिरफ्तार किया गया। जहानाबाद में निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार मोहम्मद कलामुद्दीन को भी नामांकन दाखिल करने के कुछ ही देर बाद गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।

Two candidates were arrested on the last day of nominations for the second phase of Bihar elections. RJD candidate Satyendra Shah from Sasaram was arrested in a 20-year-old robbery case. Independent candidate Mohammad Kalamuddin was also arrested in Jehanabad shortly after filing his nomination.
