TODAY White House Pauses Visa Issuance for People From Afghanistan
The Trump administration is tightening its grip on immigration after a deadly attack on National Guard members in Washington, D.C. In a post on social media, Marco Rubio wrote that the State Department has “paused visa issuance for all individuals traveling on Afghan passports.” It comes as U.S. Citizen and Immigrations Services has “halted all asylum decisions,” claiming there would be new steps for immigrants to be “vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible.” NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell reports for Saturday TODAY.
