Secret Service Foils Threat Capable of Disabling NYC Cell Service
The Secret Service recently discovered 100,000 SIM cards capable of generating 30 million text messages per minute that the agency says had the potential to “essentially shut down the cellular network in New York City.” The Secret Service says there was no known threat to the meeting of world leaders at the United Nations, but there was a concern it could be a target.
