Meet the Team Tasked With Maintaining the 9/11 Reflecting Pools
More than 12 million people visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum each year that features two pools in the footprints where the twin towers of the World Trade Center once stood. Members of the overnight team who maintain those reflecting pools sit down with TODAY’s Craig Melvin to share a rare glimpse at their work and open up about the pride and purpose the job gives them. “It’s more than a job because I’m doing it for the 3,000 that lost their lives,” custodian Jim Maroon says.
