Russell starred as Herb Brooks, the head coach of the gold medal-winning 1980 Olympic men’s hockey team. Team USA won gold at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics for the first time in men’s hockey since that 1980 game, ending a 46-year-long gold medal drought.
