Although the decision to end “The Kelly Clarkson Show” was a tough one for Kelly Clarkson, she told Carson Daly on TODAY that it was “an easy decision as a mama.”

Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband and the father of her two children, passed away from cancer in 2025. Clarkson says that recent changes in her family dynamic contributed to the decision, and says that with her kids, “You kind of start seeing life as how precious it is, too.”
