The 2025 New York City Marathon was nothing short of historic as runners set new records. On the women’s side, Hellen Obiri broke the course record by more than two minutes. For the men’s race, Benson Kipruto edged out Alexander Mutiso in the marathon’s closest finish to date, winning by just three hundredths of a second.
