The UN at 80: Development for all #CGTN

To mark the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, CGTN presents the special series “The UN at 80: China’s Perspective.” The second episode, “Development Goals,” explores how the UN focuses on global sustainable development and works toward achieving it. The episode also captures a cherished moment when Wang Zhijia, former special advisor to the UN Deputy Secretary-General, visits the home of Qu Geping, China’s first permanent representative to the United Nations Environment Programme. They recall the journey that led to the 1972 Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment and discuss how China’s ecological practices contribute to global sustainable development.
