What kind of people serve as deputies to China’s National People’s Congress? Today, we want to share the story of one of them.

Her name is Li Cuili. She runs a small grocery store in a rural village in Henan province. While most village shops sell liquor, Li Cuili filled her shelves with books and opened a free reading corner for children.
