A tough battle is also playing out in Puducherry between the NDA and the Congress alliance.

Amidst the voting in these three states, PM Modi is holding a whirlwind series of three rallies in Bengal today. The Prime Minister will kick off his campaign at 9:30 AM from Haldia in East Medinipur; subsequently, he will appeal for votes for the BJP in Asansol and Birbhum as well.

Despite the announcement of a ceasefire, Israel has carried out bombing raids on several cities in Lebanon—including Beirut. More than 250 people have lost their lives within the last 24 hours, leaving signs of devastation everywhere.
