Markets open to a packed day of earnings and stock action.
United Spirits delivered a stellar quarter with revenue up 11.5%, EBITDA up 32%, and profit up 41%, driven by strong festive demand and margin expansion of 337 bps.
BEL gained orders worth ₹732 crore, while BEML signed three MoUs valued at ₹350 crore.
Lodha Developers impressed the Street with an 86% YoY profit surge and improved margins at 29.2%.
Welspun Corp too posted solid earnings with EBITDA up 48% YoY.
Among large caps, ITC reported inline results — revenue down 3.4%, EBIT up 2%, and cigarette business up 6.7%.
However, agri business revenue slipped 31%.
Cipla, after reporting steady numbers, cut its EBITDA margin guidance to 22.7–24% amid higher R&D costs.
Swiggy reported a ₹798 crore EBITDA loss, narrowing from ₹954 crore sequentially, and plans to raise ₹10,000 crore via QIP.
Bandhan Bank disappointed with NII down 12% YoY and NIM compression of 60 bps to 5.8%.
Dabur India announced a ₹500 crore investment in Dabur Ventures while reporting revenue up 5.5% and profit up 6.5% YoY.
In the previous session, Nifty closed below 25,900, dragged by pharma and auto stocks.
Dr. Reddy’s and Cipla led pharma losses, while Nifty Bank snapped its 3-day winning streak despite resilience from HDFC Bank and BOB.
Investors now eye whether Nifty can reclaim the 25,900 level amid a flood of Q2 results.
