Singapore, China renew agreements to boost cooperation in key sectors
Singapore and China on Saturday (Oct 25) signed and renewed agreements to drive cooperation across several areas, including green development, the digital economy, maritime connectivity, as well as information and communications technology.

The memoranda of understanding were exchanged on the first day of Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s visit to Singapore.

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said the visit was especially significant as it coincided with the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China.

“35 years is not long in the history of nations, but these last 35 years have been a period of tremendous change and transformation for both our countries and for our region,” Mr Wong added.

Premier Li said China would continue working with Singapore to uphold diplomatic ties and friendship, boost cooperation and contribute to the peace and stability of the region.
