Ship-tracking data from MarineTraffic shows a build-up of oil tankers and cargo vessels at four locations in the Gulf of Oman: at high seas near the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz, and close to the ports of Fujairah and Khorfakkan in the UAE, as well as Shinas Port in Oman. The congestion highlights the immediate impact of the conflict on one of the world’s most critical energy supply routes.
