Shenzhou 20 crew lands safely on Shenzhou 21 after debris-caused window crack delays Nov. 5 return

China’s Shenzhou 20 crew has returned to Earth on Friday afternoon aboard the Shenzhou 21 spacecraft. The spaceship returned to the Dongfeng landing site in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie are all in good shape.

China’s space agency says Shenzhou-20 did not bring astronauts home on originally planned Nov. 5 after tiny cracks were found in the return capsule’s window, likely from space debris.

The spacecraft will stay in orbit to carry on experiments.
