China is testing fast roadside charging stations for electric buses, allowing vehicles to recharge in minutes and making public transport cleaner and more efficient. By the end of 2025, the country had built over 20 million charging facilities, supporting more than 40 million new energy vehicles. It is now the world’s largest and fastest-growing charging network. Authorities aim to expand this to 28 million charging points nationwide, with public charging capacity exceeding 300 million kilowatts by 2027.
