SEBI Reviewing Stock Broker Rules | SEBI Chairman On Overhaul Broker Regulations by December 2025　 #ETNOW

On the sidelines of the Morningstar Conference, SEBI Deputy Chair Tuhin Kanta Pandey told ET Now that the regulator is reviewing stock broker regulations to strengthen risk identification and compliance frameworks. The existing rules, framed in 1992, are being updated through a consultation paper, with new regulations expected by December 2025. On MTA glitches, Pandey said a two-stage audit process is underway as per SEBI’s SOP, ensuring faster response and preventing future disruptions.
