Santhosh Narayanan And Dhee Talk About Collaborating With Ed Sheeran, Hanumankind | NDTV Exclusive
Renowned Tamil music director Santhoish Narayanan and his daughter Dhee have collaborated with Hanumankind on global pop sensation Ed Sheeran’s Don’t Look Down remix for Sheeran’s album Play. In this exclusive chat with NDTV, Santhosh Narayanan and Dhee talk about how this collaboration came about. Dhee is known for her indie songs and Santhosh not just for music in Tamil cinema but how he brings to light many talented artistes who are not known to the world. Sasnthosh explains that for Don’t Look Down he moved away from his typical folk beats and made it more in a Tamil cinematic style which can be enjoyed by the listeners. He tells NDTV that music maestro AR Rahman has always been an inspiration and how Rahman winning an Oscar was like he himself had won the Oscar! Dhee and Santhosh have worked together on numerous songs and Santhosh is currently producing one with her and adds that he has a collaboration with a big music star which will be announced soon. Meanwhile, Dhee reveals she has signed on with Republic Records and is gearing up for her first music album.
