Robot helps hospital patients, nursing home residents feel less lonely
A therapeutic robot named Robin is traveling around nursing homes and hospitals to give emotional support to residents and patients. Robin is programmed to act like a 7-year-old girl and is used in 30 health care facilities across four states. A team of remote operators controls about 70% of Robin’s actions, with the remaining 30% being autonomous.
