Caren Myers Morrison, a professor of law at Georgia State University, told Reuters that ICE agents “can be prosecuted either in state court or in federal court,” either by a local district attorney’s office or by the U.S. attorney’s office, following a U.S. Immigration agent’s fatal shooting of a 37-year-old mother of three in Minneapolis on January 7.
