अब इस पर करीब-करीब सुनवाई पूरी हो चुकी है जिसके बाद चुनाव आयोग ने फाइनल वोटर लिस्ट जारी कर दिया है जिसके मुताबिक, पश्चिम बंगाल में करीब 91 लाख वोटरों के नाम कट गए हैं. चुनाव आयोग ने जिन 60 लाख वोटरों के नाम संदिग्ध लिस्ट में डाला था.

Voting for the first phase in Bengal is scheduled to take place in 15 days. Over 6 million voters in Bengal were uncertain as to whether or not their names appeared on the voter list, as they had been placed on a list of suspected voters during the SIR process.

Hearings regarding this matter have now largely concluded, following which the Election Commission has released the final voter list; according to this list, the names of approximately 9.1 million voters in West Bengal have been struck off—specifically, those 6 million voters whom the Election Commission had previously placed on the list of suspected voters.
