बिहार के चुनाव में सैनिकों की जाति भी मुद्दा बन गई. सेना में जात-पात की बात राहुल गांधी ने उठाई थी इसलिए NDA के नेताओं ने कांग्रेस को घेरा. बांका में राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा कि राहुल ने जिस तरह सेना को जाति के नाम पर बांटने की कोशिश की वो शर्मनाक है, राजनाथ ने कहा कि सैनिक की कोई जाति नहीं होती. सेना का एक ही धर्म देश की सुरक्षा, लेकिन कांग्रेस के नेता सैनिकों की जाति देख रहे हैं. ऐसे लोगों को बिहार की जनता जरूर सबक सिखाएगी.
