PM Wong convenes ministerial task force to coordinate response to potential global energy crunch
Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has convened a ministerial committee to coordinate a national response to the energy disruptions stemming from the Middle East conflict.

The committee, chaired by Coordinating Minister for National Security K Shanmugam and advised by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, has begun updating contingency plans and developing new ones in light of these “unprecedented developments”, Mr Wong said as he outlined Singapore’s response.

“I assure you: We have the plans, the capabilities and the resilience to navigate this together,” he said.
