Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also in Assam. Modi held three public meetings in Assam—in Barpeta, Hojai, and Dibrugarh. At every rally, Modi stated that the BJP’s policy is “Nation First,” whereas the Congress’s core mantra is “Family First.” Modi asserted that a party that prioritizes the family can do good neither for Assam nor for the country.
