Speaking after the meeting, KS Pua said he was deeply impressed by PM Modi’s commitment to developing India’s chip industry, emphasising that Phison’s plans go beyond just setting up a factory. He highlighted the company’s intent to transfer technology, train Indian talent in silicon design, firmware, software, and AI solutions, and help create a self-sustaining local semiconductor cluster in the coming years.

Business leader Vincent Tan Chee Yioun also lauded the Prime Minister, calling him a “great leader” who has strengthened India’s economy. He expressed interest in investing in India’s hospitality sector, revealing plans to explore luxury resort projects in New Delhi and Goa.

The discussions reflect growing global confidence in India as an emerging hub for advanced technology, manufacturing, and high-end investments, further reinforcing PM Modi’s push to position India as a major player in the global semiconductor and services landscape.
