PickUp relying on strong partnership with local taxi drivers
Amid expected competition from Uber, which has entered the market, local taxi company PickUp Barbados says it plans to stay the course, relying on its strong partnership with local taxi drivers to keep going.
Manager Hannah Gill says that over the past five years, PickUp has built its business on trust and collaboration with the local taxi community, promising from the start to work alongside them.
She adds that even with the arrival of international taxi giant Uber, PickUp’s approach will not change too much or too quickly.
And Miss Gill says that with an expanded team, PickUp Barbados is excited about the upcoming winter season.
