Dozens of people threw snowballs at a New York Police Department vehicle in Central Park, as New Yorkers ventured outside during a powerful winter storm that blanketed much of the U.S. Northeast.

The NYPD is investigating a boisterous snowball fight in the Manhattan park after several officers were hit in the face.
