NPC deputy: China prioritizes green development as West pulls back on climate commitments
Bao Xinhe, an NPC deputy and academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, highlighted green development as a priority in China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. Speaking with CGTN Africa’s Enock Sikolia, he said that while the United States and some western countries are stepping back from their climate commitments, China remains committed to its responsibility of promoting a community with a shared future for humanity and continues to actively advance its dual-carbon goals.
