North Korean leader Kim Jong Un addressed the Supreme People’s Assembly in Pyongyang, receiving a grand standing ovation from lawmakers and officials. Kim Jong Un said he still cherishes his ‘good memories’ of former U.S. President Donald Trump, but made it clear that Pyongyang will never abandon its nuclear weapons program as a precondition for talks. Speaking at the Supreme People’s Assembly, Kim ruled out any dialogue with South Korea while leaving the door open to resuming stalled diplomacy with Washington—if the U.S. drops what he called its “delusional obsession with denuclearisation.”
