NIS: NK secretly prepares summit / KBS 2025.11.04.　#KBSNews

The National Intelligence Service has confirmed that North Korea, which rejected proposals for a summit with the U.S. during APEC, is preparing for talks behind the scenes.

It is anticipated that there may be attempts for a North Korea-U.S. meeting after March next year.

It is reported that there are no significant health issues concerning Chairman Kim Jong-un.

Despite repeated proposals from President Trump, North Korea ultimately did not respond.

However, the National Intelligence Service has detected signs that North Korea is preparing for a summit with the U.S. in connection with APEC.

Chairman Kim Jong-un has moderated his remarks regarding ‘nuclear armament,’ which could be sensitive for the United States, by refraining from direct comments.

The National Intelligence Service also assessed that North Korean authorities are analyzing the tendencies of the U.S. officials handling North Korea policy and gathering information on key figures and leaders involved in North Korea-related affairs, viewing this as evidence for a possible North Korea-U.S. meeting.

Regarding the possibility of a future North Korea-U.S. summit, the National Intelligence Service projected that the joint military exercises between South Korea and the U.S. in March next year will be a turning point.

Chairman Kim is known to have underlying conditions such as high blood pressure.

The National Intelligence Service stated that observing Kim Jong-un’s activities between the provinces and Pyongyang without difficulty suggests that there are no significant health issues.
