Massive protests against the government turned violent in Mexico City, as demonstrators clashed with the police. Police fired smoke bombs and tear gas as protesters hurled stones. The clashes injured at least 120, including 100 police officers. Clashes followed Gen Z protests at the historic public square, the Zocalo, and the National Palace, the official residence of President Claudia Sheinbaum.
