Due to a landslide in the forest area of Drung, Tangmarg, in Baramulla district, a 12-inch water supply pipeline suffered severe damage. As a result, the drinking water supply to a large population of Tangmarg was disrupted. Jal Shakti Department, Tangmarg, took immediate action and, within a very short time, repaired the damaged pipeline and restored the water supply to the area.
