A key detail has emerged from ongoing investigations into the November 10 blast near Red Fort metro station in Delhi in which an IED-laden Hyundai i10 exploded amid thick traffic, killing nearly a dozen people. TOI has reported that initial intelligence inputs suggest that the blast was carried out by a Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) module seeking to avenge the extensive damage inflicted on the outfit’s Bahawalpur headquarters during Operation Sindoor. Investigations indicate that the handlers of the terror group of several doctors responsible for the blast were based in Turkey and were in touch with the module. As per several media reports, Dr Umar Un Nabi, who is presumed to have driven the i10 car, and his accomplice Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie, who has been arrested, had also visited Turkey to plan the attack. Both of them hail from the same village in Pulwama, J&K and worked at the same medical college in Faridabad.
