This year’s APEC Economic Leaders’ Week is being held in Gyeongju, with the APEC CEO Summit taking place ahead of the leaders’ meeting. New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon highlighted the importance of free trade, multilateralism and balancing cooperation with competition. He noted that APEC helps countries build stronger relationships and deepen mutual understanding.
