New China TV China launches Lijian-2 Y1 carrier rocket

China just notched another space milestone: on Monday, the Lijian-2 Y1 rocket made its debut launch from a commercial site in northwest China, successfully sending three satellites into orbit. Leading the payload was the Qingzhou cargo test spacecraft, which carried 27 in-orbit experiments (1.02 tons) across a range of 200-600 km, marking another step forward for China’s commercial space ambitions.
