Nearly 70% of U.S. adults would be considered obese under proposed new definition, study finds
In January, a group of health professionals advocated for an update to the definition of obese. They recommended including factors like waist-to-hip ratio in addition to body mass index, or BMI. Now, a new study found that under that definition, nearly 70% of U.S. adults would be considered obese. Dr. Lindsay Fourman, one of the study’s authors, joins “The Daily Report” to discuss.
