NASA’s Artemis II splashes down off California coast #worldnow
NASA’s Artemis II mission splashed down off the coast of San Diego in the US state of California on Friday evening.

NASA regarded the high-energy reentry – streaking through the atmosphere in a nearly 5,000-degree Fahrenheit fireball at more than 30 times the speed of sound – as one of the riskiest moments of the mission.

The crew members – Christina Koch, Victor Glover, Jeremy Hansen and Reid Wiseman – will be met by recovery teams and flown to a US military ship for medical evaluations.
