In a deeply emotional incident from Karnataka’s Channapatna, a monkey was seen hugging and appearing to weep over the body of an 85-year-old woman who had regularly fed him. The woman, identified as Parvatamma, had been caring for monkeys that frequented her home in Rayara Doddi. After her death due to age-related illness on Monday, one of the monkeys approached her body, clung to it, and refused to leave—leaving onlookers stunned by the rare display of grief and bond between human and animal.
