Denis Depoux, global managing director of Roland Berger, said the “Shopping in China” initiative aims to bring more purchasing inbound into China by foreigners and foreign visitors. “If I would be a traveler, the one thing that I would love to buy is an electric vehicle and bring it back, but that’s probably not very feasible. The good news is some of these products become also available in many other countries,” he said. “I still think that one of my must-buy items if I’m traveling to China would be a piece of technologies like one of these Huawei foldable phones or maybe a DJI drone, the latest generations that AI features.” #ShoppingInChina
