Man remanded for murder, firearm charges
A St Michael man appeared in the District “A” Criminal Court on Tuesday morning, charged with a fatal shooting on the ABC Highway last week.

He is a 21-year-old Jabari Rashawn Waterman, of St Barnabas Road.

Waterman is accused of murdering Shaquon Chandler-Wray, who was gunned down on October 20. He is also charged with the use of a firearm on the same date.

The full statement from the police on this matter follows:

“The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigation Department (District ‘A’), has arrested and formally charged Jabari Rashawn Waterman, 21 years of St. Barnabas Road, St. Michael, for the following offences:
     
“Murder – Shaquon Chandler-Wray – October 20th 2025
“Use of Firearm – October 20th 2025
 
  
“Waterman appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, on Tuesday, 28th October 2025. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday, 25th November 2025.”
